CAT FOOD FORMULA FOR ALL CATS UNDER 8 YRS. OF AGE
For 6 ozs. of finished cat food:
¾ ozs. of premix
3 ozs. of beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, tuna or salmon
2¼ ozs. of water
¼ tsp each of flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil.
½ tsp. fish oil, such as cod liver oil
*Health and Shine capsules can be substituted for the above oils*
CAT FOOD RECIPE FOR CATS OVER 8 YEARS OF AGE
1 oz. of premix
2 ozs. of beef, chicken, turkey lamb, tuna or salmon
3 ozs. of water
¼ tsp. each of flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil
½ tsp. fish oil, such as cod liver oil
*Health and Shine capsules can be substituted for the above oils*
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETE CAT FOOD RECIPE
Boil water
Add Feline Health Pre-Mix: mix and let steep for 8 minutes
NOTE: ¾ oz. of pre-mix is approximately 2 full measuring scoops (scoop included in package)
Add protein and oil to steeped Pre-Mix, stir well. Choose the protein you wish to use and cook it while the Pre-Mix is steeping, or add the protein raw after the Pre-Mix is done.
NOTE: If you cat likes smaller pieces, puree in a blender.
Let cool to room temperature and serve.
*We have also found that organic meat (turkey, chicken, lamb, beef) baby food is an excellent way to add protein to the pre-mix and cats seem to really enjoy this addition* |
